The Wayne Parkes Book is the first to showcase Wayne at work within the inner sanctum of his shaping bay and is an intriguing visual journey through a time warp of 30 years of surfboard design. Of course, Wayne has been shaping boards for a lot longer than that, starting out as a teenager in the late 60’s, firstly dominating the surf scene as New Zealand’s five times National Champion then going on to travel the world surfing and learning with the world’s best surfers and surfboard shapers, spending time in Australia with Bob McTavish and George Greenough. Some of Wayne’s design elements are still used to this day.

This book has taken over three years to put together, most of that time was Wayne pondering over his handwritten captions that fit nicely with the images. Many boards have their own story. A must have for your surf library
