The Defender Emirates Team New Zealand and the Challenger of Record Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli collaborate in drafting the Protocol of the 36th America's Cup - presented by PRADA who then raced in Auckland (New Zealand) and the birth of the new Class of boats, the AC75 foiling monohulls, futuristic and advanced in every respect, capable of rising above the water and reaching speeds of 50 knots. After winning the Challenger Selection Series (Prada Cup), Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli then faced the Defender Emirates Team New Zealand in the final Cup match winning three races: the best result ever for an Italian challenger. Team Emirates going on to win the series.
